The coursebook structure and audio files are extremely well designed.
I am more conscious of how to pronounce in English. I really enjoyed the courses and am feeling more confident.
‘The Sound of English’ is a unique method whose simplicity will help you, first to unlearn all the accumulative pronunciation mistakes acquired in the process of learning English as a foreign language and then teach you- in an easy and practical way- all the tricks you need to know in order to sound like a native speaker. Highly recommended to all of those who want get their command of the English language to another dimension.

I’m now aware of all the work I have to do to try to pronounce better. I liked the course alot and it was very useful for me.
The course if FAB!! I really enjoyed it. I looked forward every week to my class.
I only knew about 50% of the phonemic script before I started so was a real novice. Now I’m more familiar with the terminology and how pronunciation really should feature much more heavily in my teaching.
The greatest thing is, that the course increased my awareness; it is easier for me to spot my mistakes and I am more efficient in a self-study, so I expect even more changes to happen in the period after the course actually finished. I have gained a much better understanding of IPA and intonation patterns. I consider the latter one to be particularly useful. I have not realied before how much I still need to work on my fall-rise intonation, but at least now I know how to do that.
‘The Sound of English’ really encapsulates Joe and the Studio’s teaching in the last 6 years. It is even better structured than the first one (‘An English Accent’) and although it is more compact in size, it seems to have packed in drills that I did not have the chance to do in class previously.

I have a better understanding of how to position the mouth, tongue and lips to improve my vowel pronunciation.
The materials are something that I will continue reviewing and listening to!
